Bruce Elgort announces IdeaJam

IdeaJam, Bruce has been hard at work on his latest baby. Set for official release on Nov. 20, it's a site to collect, share and promote ideas for improvement around all things Lotus software. I've had a test drive and it's an amazing idea/site. I really believe IBM/Lotus will be watching. Bloggers opinions have been praised at Lotusphere and they're grilled for their opinion to improve the products. Now, here's a social site to keep this theme going all year long.
As a developer who struggles with design and ui, this site is really impressive. I'd really like to see some of the design techniques that went into it.
Good Luck Bruce. I hope it's a positive experience and it helps us all.

Another "Huh?" moment today

Last week, we noticed some scheduled agents decided to stop running. I reported this to our admins and they resigned the agents. As if, they would "wake" up. My first inclination was that "they" did something in production or the database was having "issues". The "mystery" problem that I've never seen before seems to enter my mind on occasion. I checked the Notes log and there was no indication there. The server document confirmed the id had correct rights to run the agents. I decided to check Notes.net for an idea. Would you believe the very first note I read led me to the issue. I couldn't believe this was it but it was. The database property on the first tab "Disable background agents for this database" had been checked. Not sure how that happened, but it did. If I was aware of this property before, I'd forgotten about it. There are so many in Domino. :)

It's over

I just hope this time A-Rod is not blamed for the post-season loss. It takes a team effort to win. What did Jeter do? He won't get the blame. Wang, where were you? One decent outing from Wang would have extended the season. Can we please get one dominant starting pitcher for next year?
At least I have my Cowboys to cheer for the winter. They really pulled one out last night.
